ANNOUNCEMENTS

Among our guests, two seniors from Green Bay Southwest who are among 12 area seniors who will be honored at the Rotary Youth Awards Luncheon Apr. 28.

President-elect David Yeghiaian alerted club members to expect an online questionnaire in the next couple of weeks designed to solicit members' opinions about club plans for the next one to three years.

Jim Lienau announced that the club's final social outing of the Rotary year will be Thursday, Apr. 24, an opening night performance by the Green Bay Community Theatre.

Also the last week of April, Yusu, the club's foreign exchange student, will have her parents visiting. Past president Diane Dappern is looking for people willing to help host the family.

PROGRAM

Mark Logemann, executive director, Bay Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts of America, talked about the long-time link between Rotary and scouting. He explained how the missions, goals and beliefs of the two organizations are remarkably similar. He commented that Rotary founder Paul Harris was good friends with the first executive of the Boy Scouts and how some Rotary clubs sponsor scout troops. Logemann also said he is a new Appleton Rotarian.
